The Art in Public Places Policy was provided to the Committee members for review.  
Bauer moved, seconded by Riesterer, that Option 2 (Houdini Theme) be  
approved contingent upon Creative Downtown Appleton providing  
approximately 30 images (original and suggested crop/color, etc.) and  
documentation they are in the public domain to staff by March 20, Creative  
Downtown Appleton cover all necessary costs and gifts the panels to the  
Appleton Public Arts Committee, and the funds for a new contest be retained  
for next year. Roll Call. Motion carried by the following vote:

Request to approve proposal from Appleton Downtown Inc. to replace  
the existing College Avenue banners (from Badger Avenue to Drew  
Street) with a new design, as described in the attached documents  
Attachments:  
The Committee requested a resubmittal from Appleton Downtown Inc. to make  
modifications to Banner #3 and submit a couple more theme options to staff by March  
20, suggested content including family and community oriented such as farm market  
or other downtown events.  
Mische moved, seconded by Riesterer, that the proposed banners replacement  
request be held until the April 1 Committee meeting. Roll Call. Motion carried  
by the following vote:
