In order to maintain the historic character of the home, the applicant is proposing a handrail height of 25 1/2” and guardrail height of 25 1/2”. Section 321.04(3)(c)(2) Uniform Dwelling Code requires a minimum 36” guardrail height and Section 321.04(3)(b) requires 30-38” handrail height.
